For the outdoorsy types, there is Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Springfield. It is a 500,000-square-foot space that houses many unique attractions and is visited by over 4 million people a year. It features the National Archery Hall of Fame and a conservation education center.

A variety of museums can be found in the area, including the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame with 2,000 square meters of exhibits and memorabilia. The Dickerson Park Zoo is also a great place to visit, with over 340 animals on display.
